Served 4 years as a College Outreach Specialist with Pitt Community College, assisting 1st generation college students and populations with barriers to education.
Served 4 Years on the City of Greenville’s Police Community Relations Committee, working to support communication and improved relations between local law enforcement officers and the communities where they serve.
Current United Way of Pitt County Board Member – supporting UWPC’s mission to mobilize resources and leadership to build a stronger community.
Current Uptown Greenville Board Member – supporting Uptown’s mission to revitalize our city’s center
Current Member of the Greenville Pitt Association of Realtors
Currently Serving on the Greenville smART City Task Force – a 5 year community-stakeholder group, working to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for public art and cultural attraction in our center city and its neighboring cultural districts.
Currently serving on Governor Cooper’s State Reentry Council, working to ensure that North Carolina residents who return to our communities from the Justice System have the support necessary to be contributing members in their homes, families, and communities.

2019 Recipient of East Carolina University’s 40 Under 40 Award for Service & Leadership
Served 2017-18 with the statewide “Service Year Accelerator” initiative, whose mission is to connect North Carolina communities with resources to fund “Service Year Positions”. This initiative has added 9 paid service year positions in our local area to add capacity to our nonprofits to help fulfill their missions of addressing poverty.
Served from 2017-19 as community partner and liaison to our local health system in a 2 Year National “Pursuing Equity” Initiative, working with other nationally ranked health systems, learning, sharing, and developing best practices for addressing social determinants of health in our communities and across our nation. Currently implementing those plans in our community.
Founded and built NC CIVIL a local grassroots community organization that has become a trusted source for community-centered nonprofit programming.
